Worst news app I have seen

Its a great way to keep current on Chicago news and sports

The app works well but it needs the capability to increase the font while reading a story. I like the greying of the stories you read as well.

Just plain bad app from a company in disarray. All the Tribune has to do is mimic the high quality apps from the NY Times or the Wall Street Journal. They are too lazy to even do that.

The Tribs app is really good. The content is great especially John Kasss columns, Biggs and Sullivan covering the Bears and Cubs, respectively. Layout wise, Id like to see it look a little more like the WSJ or the NYT.

The Trib is Chicagos go-to news source, and this app lets me get not only the news, but all the other features as well.

This app stops working after you read 10 articles. They want you to pay 7.99/mo after that to read anymore.

The layout is very poor. Picture display is frustrating and most important, it does not push headlines to the top in a timely manner. For example, the Chicago Cubs won the pennant, and the article is buried. In print, this would be a banner headline, above the fold.

Overall it delivers the news but its not great. Its about what youd expect, in all honesty.

Theres probably a way to do it, but its not obvious how to go directly to a section. Sports? Scroll down. Frustrating.

I think that if I want to see the entire article and I am logged into the app that I should not be required to login a second time in Safari. Its so annoying that I do not enjoy accessing the Online Chicago Tribune despite my subscription!

Im not paying 7.99 a month to watch ads. Garbage. Worse than paper version. Canceling through apple.

Just got the app on May 1st after ordering a subscription. Very easy to use and looks like the actual paper. So far no problems or complaints.

5 years ago.....the Chicago Tribune had an awesome app. It was simple, news stories were constantly updated, and there was no 10 "free" stories per MONTH B.S. Now however....this app is by far the WORST Chicago news app out there.

Does not work even after restarting iPad; keeps closing the app.

Finally, Chicago Tribune has an app for the digital age!

Much improved. Content was always great. So is access and manageability now.

I love the new app. Ability to customize the order of sections, save articles or the full paper for offline reading, and an overall clean / slick navigation. Really excited to use more often!

I enjoy this app. I can get the Chicago Tribune and my local Post Tribune in the same app. There is a good transition between reading headlines and going to the stories I wish to read. I like being able to edit the sections of the paper to fit my interests.
